15th National Tuna Congress in General Santos, Philippines

The National Tuna Congress is an annual event attended by the key players, stakeholders and industry supporters throughout the country. It is consistently hosted by the SOCSKSARGEN Federation of Fishing and Allied Industries, Inc. (SFFAII) in General Santos City.

This year 2013, marks 15 fruitful years of the National Tuna Congress, and this year ONWA Marine Electronics grabbed that chance to take part in the event that would mark and leave the name ONWA Marine Electronics in the industry.

The Congress was attended by ONWA Marine Electronics Philippine Team namely, Mr. Kenneth Salazar (International Marketing Manager), Mr. Cesar Galvez (Country Sales Manager), Engr. Bonn Lagera (Technical Head) and Engr. Eunice Del Rosario (Technical Engineer). When the team arrived in General Santos City, the Tuna Capital of the Philippines, the first stop was to go look at the situation of the Fishing Industry. The Team went to the General Santos Fish Port Complex, where we were welcomed by people with all smiles and hospitality. Here the team saw just how big ONWA Marine Electronics can contribute to the Fishing Industry, how ONWA products can help them maximize their catch at sea.

In the Trade Hall of SM General Santos, ONWA Marine Electronics showcased the following products: GPS Navigator, Electronic Compass, Chart plotter with fish finder Combo, Fish Finders and Radar to exhibit the features and benefits of ONWA Marine Electronics Equipment.

Among 81 Exhibitors, wherein 5 were engaged in Navigational Equipment, ONWA Marine Electronics managed to make its way to the eyes of the people. A total of 50 participants took their time to register for their inquiry and future usage of ONWA products. This is only the start, ONWA will be marching its way to the heart of the Filipino People.
