      I have managed to get a copy of the KDX Software … but I am confused as to why this is not easily available online in the ONWA Support and Download Secion ?

      Once I started using this software – I quickly saw its limitations. I was expecting similar to other brands PC software – ability to create and edit waypoint / route lists. But so far I find that KDX is only converting files already created. Conversion itself is unreliable and various applications that create GPX files – those files do not work with KDX.

      Would it be possible to expand KDX to actually create Waypoit / Route ODF files ? This would be a great help to those of us who have moved from other brand products. I have many data files from my Lowrance that I am now wishing to have on my ONWA … but so far not been able to convert and use. The files created by other applications from Lowrance to GPX fail in KDX.

      General PC ? Is there any plan or thought to have a display program for PC that uses K-Chart ? It does not need to be a plotter – but to be able to create routes / waypoints and save as ODF to use on the plotter.

      Thanks for your opinions about KDX software.

      I will check with our engineer and come back to you soon.

      The KDX software should able to convert GPX to ODF format, could you share what problem you met ?

      I believe that not all applications convert to GPX exactly same. I found that GPSUtility – the GPX file would not convert. EasyGPS – the file converted but would not work on the ONWA.

      I am still trying out various files and see which work / do not work.

      But one item I would really like to see in KDX is the ability to create an ODF file in KDX ….

       

      I have a book that I have written out so many waypoints / routes …. its my archive from my Lowrance and Seaclear use. It would be excellent if I could actually create a new ODF file in KDX and type in the data.

      So far only way I can do this – is via the plotter itself. But then I cannot ‘edit’ ‘insert’ and waypoint into the ODF file in KDX. I can only convert it.

      If KDX could accept a TXT file of data ??

      The plotter itself – I am very happy with … and K Charts suit me fine. But I cannot display K Chart on PC to create waypoints / routes ….

      Actually ODF file is exactly a TXT file, you can use Window Note to open and edit the contents.

      I am seeking to send a PC software which can load KChart and ODF data, you can use this PC software to edit your waypoints and routes.
