For example, if you see “$GPGSV,4,4,14………..”, the third number “14” represents the total number of GPS satellites currently received, while the third number in “$BDGSV” represents the total number of Beidou satellites received.
3. Regarding satellite bar display: The ONWA chart plotter can display up to 12 satellite bars, with priority given to Beidou over GPS. Therefore, you will mostly see Beidou satellite bars displayed.
4. Your KP-27A’s current positioning system is GPS + Beidou, while mobile phones use positioning chips that are different from chart plotters. Mobile phone positioning chips generally have multi-frequency and multi-mode functions, allowing for the use of more than two satellite positioning systems.
